Christian Education

Welcome to Northwood Presbyterian Church’s Christian Education program (or, simply “CE” as we call it). When you hear the phrase "Christian Education," what comes to mind?

  • Perhaps childhood memories in Sunday School?
  • Or possibly fond recollections of a Youth Group in your teen years?
How about thought-provoking dialog and discussion – and maybe a little disagreement, too – about current events and how they wrestle with your personal beliefs?
  • Or maybe – just maybe – the thought of Christian Education is a bit too daunting because you don’t feel that you’re as “up on the Bible” as you should be?... or want to be?

We all have thoughts like these, and more. Some of us are Biblical scholars at Northwood; others not. Regardless of our background, though, we all strive to be better Christians, and we do that by exploring our faith in many ways.

Most often, people think of Christian Education as Sunday School classes, and that would be true for Northwood Presbyterian Church. We have classes for young children, adolescents, teenagers, parents, and classes for other adults, too. Yet, it’s much more than that. As humans, we seek answers for many things, and it's equally true (perhaps doubly so) for Christians. To that end, we have a variety of special learning opportunities throughout the year to discover more about ourselves and our faith. We invite you to learn and discover more about yourself and your faith at Northwood Presbyterian Church.

Sunday School

Sunday School is a vital part of Northwood's Christian Education (CE) program.  We have classes for all age groups and all Sunday School classes begin at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings.
